When you put your phone down, Lampi shines and goes on adventures.
A pet made of light that lives with you all day. The less you scroll, the brighter she shines. And if you overdo it, she doesn’t scold you: she takes a nap.
Your attention is light
You pick the apps that hook you and a gentle limit for the day. Lampi doesn’t count minutes to throw them in your face: she just shines more or less depending on how things go.
Tap a moment of the day and see what Lampi does.
She never gets sick and never dies. Every day starts fresh.
I’m off to the Moss Forest today! I’ll bring you something.
Radiant. Shining bright and off on an expedition.
“Lampi was taking a nap… are we really going in?”
When you’re past your limit and open a thief app, you don’t get a grey “access denied” screen. You get Lampi, half asleep, asking you.
You can still go in. It’s just that first Lampi quietly asks if you really mean it.
And if you ask for “5 more min”, she first suggests breathing together for 20 seconds. Sometimes that’s all it takes.
Instagram is tucked in until tomorrow
Lampi was taking a nap… are we really going in?
You’ve gone past today’s time. If you stop now, she’ll wake up brighter tomorrow.
Every night she comes back with a postcard
On the days she shines, Lampi goes on an expedition. At night she writes to you from wherever she’s been, and brings back odd things for her collection.
-
Moss Forest
I dozed off without meaning to. When I woke up, someone had tucked me in with a leaf.
-
Lake of Moons
There were two moons and neither was made of cheese.
-
Mushroom Garden
A mushroom winked at me. I think.
20 places to discover
From the Moss Forest to the Comet Observatory. The postcards tell a story in chapters: a little star has fallen from the sky and Lampi follows her clues.
An album that keeps filling up
Postcards, things (a very friendly three-leaf clover, a lost sock) and creature friends she meets along the way.
Sparks, never money
Lampi earns sparks by exploring, and sleeping well gets her a few more. They can’t be bought. They’re shone.
And on Sundays, your week in a story
A vertical summary of how much Lampi shone and the postcards she brought, ready to share. No exact minutes and no guilt charts.
It’s not a timer. It’s someone who lives with you.
Blockers and timers work for lots of people. Lampi is for those who’d rather be cared for than watched.
Lampi doesn’t see what you do inside your apps
- It uses Apple’s Screen Time. Lampi only gets notices like “you’re halfway through your limit”. She doesn’t know what videos you watch or who you talk to. She couldn’t anyway: iOS doesn’t allow it.
- Without an account, what she knows about you lives on your iPhone. Her name, your limit and your postcards. No mandatory accounts.
- Your email, only for this. We use it to let you know when Lampi is ready. We don’t sell or share it, and you can unsubscribe whenever you want.
The important stuff is free.

Questions people ask us
When is it coming out?
We’re finishing the first version for iPhone. People on the list will try it before anyone else, in a private beta.
What about Android?
Yes, the Android beta is open: here’s how to join in two steps.
On Android, Lampi also covers your thief apps with her shield when you go past your limit: just give her usage access and turn on “Lampi shield” in Accessibility.
Will it block my apps?
Only the ones you choose, when you go past your limit and during your night hours. You always have a way out with “5 more min”. If you want a no-excuses shield, strict blocking is optional.
What if I go way over one day?
Lampi falls asleep. She doesn’t get sick, doesn’t get angry and doesn’t send you passive-aggressive notifications. The next day she wakes up with all her light.
Does Lampi know what I do on my phone?
No. She only roughly knows how much of your limit you’ve used. What you watch, write or search stays between you and your iPhone.
Why a pet and not an hour counter?
Because it’s easier to put your phone down for someone you like than for a number. And because seeing Lampi come back with a postcard is much nicer than a chart.
